With more than 35 years of experience as a dentist, she brings a depth of clinical perspective that can only be developed through decades of caring for patients and following their oral health over time.

Dr. Angulo completed her dental education in Cuba, where her professional journey in dentistry began. After bringing that training and experience to Costa Rica, she became a member of the College of Dental Surgeons of Costa Rica in 1978. Throughout her career, she has witnessed the evolution of dentistry across generations — from traditional clinical methods to modern restorative materials, digital planning, and increasingly collaborative approaches to care.
For Dr. Angulo, dentistry has always been about more than treating teeth. It is about listening carefully, earning a patient’s trust, understanding the person behind the clinical need, and providing care with honesty, respect, and compassion. Those principles became part of the foundation on which Esthetic Dent was built and continue to guide the way the team welcomes and cares for every patient.

He completed a structured three-module internship in Periodontics at ULACIT totaling 360 effective hours. This training strengthened his understanding of periodontal assessment, gum health, supporting bone, and the importance of creating a healthy foundation before restorative or implant treatment.
